what is a skateboard wrap?

Wraps are the newest innovation in skateboard customization. With Skateboard Wraps you're no longer restricted to choosing a skateboard deck graphic. You design your own graphic and have it printed in full photographic quality and you put it on any new or lightly used skateboard deck to make it your own.

We use only the highest grade wrap materials to produce our Skateboard Wraps. Whether you want an image of your ride or an amazing illustration you drew, you can have it on your skateboard.

frequently asked questions

  • How do I use your template?

    • Download our .eps template and open it in Adobe Illustrator™ or the free open source program Inkscape™. Once you have the file open look for the "Art" layer and place your art there. Once your art is complete, save the file with your last name as the file name and e-mail it to us. You can also transfer the template to Adobe Photoshop™ or the free software GIMP and design your graphic there.

  • What if I want to use a font?

    • You can use any font you like. Make sure that when you convert your fonts to outline in Adobe Illustrator™ or Inkscape™ before you save the file. If your art is created in Photoshop™ make sure you rasterize your font layer before saving.

  • What file types will you accept?

    • We can accept nearly any file type. We prefer vector .eps files (from Adobe Illustrator™) or 300dpi JPEG or TIFF files.

  • Will you print any image I want?

    • We ask that you please use discretion when creating your art. We will not print any pornographic images.

  • I received a message saying my art wasn't high enough resolution, what does that mean?

    • This means that your image was not designed to fit the supplied template or the image size was too small. In most cases it means your image was taken from the web and is not large enough to print at full quality. When low quality images are blown up to print at 300dpi they lose resolution and become pixelated and are no longer recognizable as the image you requested.

  • Will you design my wrap for me?

    • At this time we do not design wraps, if you need a graphic artist there are many locations on the web to find them.

  • How much is shipping to my location?

    • Shipping is a standard flat rate for the whole planet. If you want a wrap, we'll ship it to you.

  • My Wrap looks great, how do I put it on?

    • Your Wrap is pretty durable but please use care when you apply it. Begin by gently peeling the wrap from it's backing and take care not to let the sticky side touch itself. Once you have the wrap removed from the backing, lightly place it on your deck surface. You can gently lift and reposition the wrap as needed. Once you are satisfied with the placement begin to apply the wrap by pressing out all the air bubbles from the center and working toward the edges. Once all the air is out use firm pressure to ensure the wrap is better adhered to the deck surface. Once the wrap is completely applied, trim any excess with a very sharp razor. Use a similar process as when you trim grip-tape. Taking your time and ensuring you have the proper equipment will save lots of time and yield a much better final result.
